New A&M track & field head coach Leroy Burrell joined TexAgs Live on Wednesday to share his excitement about joining the Aggies after spending his career at Houston and Auburn. Burrell detailed his coaching vision and extended gratitude for former A&M coach Pat Henry.

  • I consider College Station close to home, and I am honored to succeed coach Pat Henry. I hope to get into the universe of what he was able to accomplish at Texas A&M. I’m very excited to get involved with the Texas A&M culture and be a part of everything athletic here. Coach Henry won a national championship a little over a year ago, so there are big shoes to fill. We will work really hard to honor what he has built.
