1on1: Locker Room Chat with Adrienne Pratcher
On her three-pointer barrage...
"Actually I’ve been working on my threes lately. I know people have been playing the zone and they been trying to pack the inside, so being a perimeter player, I know we need to knock down the perimeter shots which include the threes. I think just me working on it and being able to get the ball and knock down the shots from the post players and my teammates is helping a lot."On A&M's post play and how it been a factor this season…
"The post play has been outstanding this year; Kelsey Bone, Kristi Bellock, Karla Gilbert and Rachel Mitchell. It has opened up the outside for us. For the first couple of games, people were playing man and doubling down on our post players, but now our perimeter players are knocking down shots as well, and I think that’s going to open up the inside game back up for our post players because people are not going to know how to guard us now."On the growth and impact of the A&M freshmen…
"Our freshmen have grown a lot. Coming in and starting off, I knew some were going to play more than others. I think the ones not playing as many minutes as the ones that are playing the double digits minutes are doing a good job. Some of you guys don’t see what they do for us, but they prepare us for the teams we're about to play as far as what the teams going to run. They prepare us in practice, go hard, and execute the plays to their best ability like the teams going to do during the game. They’re coming along and they’re helping us in a huge way."On strengthening their momentum in SEC play…
"We have a lot of SEC play left. We have big road games left, big home games left, but I think this is only going to give us confidence in our upcoming games as far as knowing what we can do and knowing the flow of our offense."On what A&M has to do to prepare for Vanderbilt on Thursday…
"We’re just going to have to prepare like we’ve been preparing. We are just going to have to go hard in practice. We are going to have to stay focused, execute, and stay motivated and knowing that we can pull this SEC title off if we just take care of business."Never miss the latest news from TexAgs!
