Equestrian head coach Tana McKay relives program's first SEC title
Texas A&M equestrian made program history last Saturday, capturing its first SEC Championship in a dramatic 10-10 tiebreak victory over Georgia. Head coach Tana McKay joined TexAgs Live to speak on the result and what's ahead.
I think any coach will tell you you have to have the talent. In our sport, it’s challenging. We have the jumping seat and the western, and a lot of times they don't see each other on practice days. So to have that team unity and know their teammates are there supporting them its hard to get. There's something special they do a lot of work behind the scenes, and you know when those starters walk in the arena, they have them behind them.
