TKO's Knockout Performance of the Week: Clemence's hot hand

In this week's TKO Knockout Performance of the Week, Texas A&M forward Zach Clemence went 7-for-8 from beyond the arc on Saturday in Texas A&M's 92-69 win over South Carolina. We also gave love to Dabo Swinney for calling out tampering in the transfer portal.

  • Zach Clemence had 21 points and went 7-of-8 from 3-point range. They owned a 43-9 advantage on the bench. I put Rylan Griffen on there, too.

  • Can I put Dabo Swinney on there? I love Swinney. I don’t know if he’s an act, but I really appreciate what he stands on and says. I appreciated the timeline and talking about the issues in college football and how he would fix them. Swinney called out Ole Miss for tampering.

  • We talked about him earlier. You go 7-of-8 from the 3-point line, that’s a knockout performance. He was knocking them down, talking about Clemence, of course. Clemence was responsible for 21 points from the bench. A&M, typically, outscored the opponent's bench, but the discrepancy was insane.

  • Griffen is playing good basketball, and he’s playing his best basketball right now.

  • Ole Miss was calling players in class at Clemson who have signed. You hear coaches complain all the time about tampering, but they don’t ever talk about who’s doing it because they are always covering. Well, this is one time that someone said, “Hey, Pete Golding, you are tampering.” I actually applaud, like him or not, for being able to say who is doing it. Golding is not alone.
