After a Week 9 board that treated us very poorly last week, we’re turning our heads toward Week 10, where a 7-1 Texas A&M football team plays on the road in a hostile Williams-Brice Stadium to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks. We are joined this week with SEC Unfiltered’s Chris Phillips to break down some of the key player matchups this week in this game, and across the CFB board.

RB Le’Veon Moss
LESS THAN 82.5 Rushing Yards
Last week’s Aggie of the Week was crushed by a passing attack that only completed eight passes. Barber had two receptions for 27 yards after the first two possessions, and things looked up until they didn’t. This week, I am anticipating a decently strong run defense that is the South Carolina front seven to create havoc. While South Carolina hasn’t faced a lot of very strong rushing attacks this season, I also think the potential of Marcel Reed playing quarterback and taking carries away from Moss is something that we shouldn’t overlook. Some would say it’s impossible to halt an unstoppable force. I’m willing to test that theory this week.
Tyler Huff, QB, Jacksonville State
MORE THAN 76.5 Rushing Yards
Liberty’s defense may metrically pass some tests, but it certainly doesn’t pass the eye test. Huff has been incredible on the ground this season, averaging 93 yards on the ground per game to go along with eight touchdowns. Traveling to Liberty isn’t always easy, and sometimes, it is hard to get your passing game going on the road. But a QB’s legs will always travel. He’ll be huffing and puffing his way to the end zone tonight.
Elijah Young, RB, Western Kentucky
MORE THAN 78.5 Rushing Yards
Young has been more and more involved in this offense as the weeks have gone on. Averaging 20 carries in his last three games, Young plays a Kennesaw State team that is coming off its first FBS win in school history, but it’s also a team that is giving up 171 rushing yards per game and 4.7 yards per carry, which are 101st and 105th in the country.
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
MORE THAN 184.5 Rushing Yards
I’m finally doing it. I’m finally taking Jeanty to have more than his total. I love his matchup against a San Diego State team that runs a very fast-paced, veer-and-shoot offense. This, and a negative game script will hopefully mean more possessions and carries for the Heisman Trophy candidate. San Diego State is also undefeated in the Mountain West, which means that Boise State must bring its A-game and hitch the wagon to its stallion.
Taylen Green, QB, Arkansas
LESS THAN 35.5 Rushing Yards
6, -5, and -10 yards are the rushing totals for Green when playing against Texas A&M, Tennessee, and LSU, respectively. The common denominator between these teams is that they all have a really good pass rush. That Arkansas offensive line cannot hold up against teams with a solid pass rush, and it has cost Green’s rushing statistics dearly. Ole Miss has one of the better pass-rushing units in the SEC, and I would anticipate that the defensive line group tears it up against those Hogs.
O’Mega Blake, WR, Charlotte
MORE THAN 41.5 Receiving Yards
Not only does O’Mega Blake have one of the best names in college football, but he has been very productive for the 49ers. Averaging over 23.3 yards per catch, the South Carolina transfer has already shattered his career bests for receiving yards and touchdowns, and we’re only eight games into the season. While he is very dependent on the big play, I still believe that Tulane’s defense isn’t as good as it seems because the Green Wave have relied a lot on turnovers thus far. O’Mega is going to make us mega millions.
