Trey Zuhn III earns SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors
The Maroon Goon shined in Gainesville.
On Monday, the Texas A&M junior left tackle Trey Zuhn III received SEC's Offensive Lineman of the Week honors following a dominant performance in the Aggies’ Week 3 win at Florida.
Zuhn helped pave the way for Texas A&M to rack up 310 yards on the ground, the most against a conference foe since the Aggies put up 313 on Auburn on Dec. 5, 2020.
Perhaps the Maroon Goons' most impressive feat on Saturday was orchestrating a 15-play, 99-yard scoring drive almost entirely made of rushing plays...14 runs and just one pass. The domination in the trenches began in the opening quarter, where the line pushed A&M 92 yards downfield on nine plays.
Much improved from a year ago under position coach Adam Cushing, the offensive line did not allow a single sack on signal-caller Marcel Reed, who earned Co-Freshman of the Week honors.
Coach Mike Elko was seen postgame giving the line their much-deserved flowers as A&M went on to overwhelm Florida, 33-20, breaking a 10-game skid of road losses dating back to 2021.
Zuhn's honor marks the first time an Aggie was awarded the conference's offensive lineman honor since Kenyon Green received it in back-to-back weeks in 2021.
