Around Aggieland (8/23)
On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as fall sports are almost all underway. Soccer will host its Fish Camp game on Saturday, while volleyball and football get going next week.
Football
With the return of one of the oldest and most storied rivalries in collegiate athletics, Cotton Holdings, Inc., has officially signed on with Texas A&M Sports Properties and Longhorn Sports Properties to become the title sponsor of the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown rivalry series.
Texas A&M defensive linemen Nic Scourton and Shemar Turner were selected to the Preseason Coaches All-SEC Second Team, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
Soccer
Despite coming into Wednesday night's match with a 0-2 record on the young season, the Denver Pioneers upset No. 24 Texas A&M in the Aggies' home opener, 3-2. The Maroon & White will return to Ellis Field on Saturday to face Fairfield at 8 p.m.
Volleyball
Texas A&M volleyball opens it 2024 campaign next Friday at at South Alabama. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m.

Saturdays at Reed Arena will be the place to be for Texas A&M men's basketball fans as the conference office announced the Aggies' full SEC schedule and its notably-loaded weekend home slate in 2025
