On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as men's and women's basketball are navigating SEC play and track & field has begun.

Football
Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has put the finishing touches on his coaching staff by hiring Kansas defensive back coach Jordan Peterson. A native of Lexington, Texas, and a Texas A&M product, Peterson began his coaching career as a graduate assistant in Aggieland in 2010.

Peterson began his coaching career under former Aggie DC Tim DeRuyter at Fresno State and has been on Lance Leipold's Kansas staff for the past four seasons, serving as Co-Defensive Coordinator last fall.

Basketball
Despite another anxiety-inducing start, a rally enabled Texas A&M to take control late and split the season series against LSU with a 73-69 victory on Saturday. Wade Taylor IV scored all 19 of his points in the second half, while three other Aggies also chipped in double figures.

A&M will stay home to take on Mizzou on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on SEC Network.

Women’s basketball
Top-ranked South Carolina left no doubt on Sunday afternoon as the Gamecocks handed Texas A&M its first home loss of 2023-2024 in a 99-64 drubbing. With the loss, the Aggies fall to 2-3 in conference play with a chance to rebound on Thursday against Missouri.

Track & Field
The Texas A&M track & field program claimed seven titles at the Ted Nelson Invitational in its second at the R.A. "Murray" Fasken '38 Indoor Track & Field facility Saturday.
