Around Aggieland (12/11)
On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as Mike Elko added its first addition out of the transfer portal and men's and women's basketball navigate their non-conference schedules.
Football
Mike Elko & Co. have added to the secondary in the form of former Kansas State defensive back Will Lee. In his only season in the Little Apple, Lee earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors after making 42 tackles and intercepting two passes as a sophomore in 2023.
Men’s basketball
The Memphis duo of David Jones and Jahvon Quinerly was too much for No. 21 Texas A&M to overcome as the Aggies fell on Sunday afternoon, 81-75. The loss snapped a 14-game home-court winning streak. The Aggies had not lost at Reed since falling, 67-62, to Wofford on Dec. 20 last season.
Up next, Texas A&M will take on now-No.3 Houston on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Women’s basketball
Texas A&M's paint presence overwhelmed Robert Morris, leading to a 67-36 victory inside of Reed Arena. Transfers Aicha Coulibaly and Lauren Ware dominated the meeting and helped extend the Aggies' win streak to seven and secure their ninth win of the season.
A&M will receive a bit of a break before continuing their December stretch at Reed Arena with a Dec. 18 matchup with Mississippi Valley State at 7 p.m.
