* The recruiting process was a great experience and he got the chance to talk to a lot of great coaches during that time. Starting out, he planned on simply narrowing his choices down to Georgia Tech, Oklahoma and Texas A&M and then choose from there, but the process took a confusing turn after Coach Slocum was let go and Coach Franchione took his place.
