Around Aggieland (10/27)

October 27, 2023

On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as football is back in action against South Carolina, volleyball heads on the road and soccer begins the SEC Tournament.

Texas A&M is now back in action after a bye week with an 11 a.m. kickoff on ESPN against South Carolina.

Men's basketball
Buzz Williams and Co. are back in action as they head to Denton this weekend to take on Texas Tech for the Compete 4 Cause Classic at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The Texas A&M Aggies and LSU Tigers played 90 minutes of scoreless soccer in the regular season finale.

A&M now begins the single-elimination Southeastern Conference Tournament in Pensacola, Fla., as the 6-seed. Receiving a bye, they’ll face 3-seed South Carolina in the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. CT. With NCAA Tournament aspirations on the line, the Aggies’ rematch with the Gamecocks after falling to them one week ago is a must-win.

Aggie volleyball will look to overcome last week's fumbles with a trip to No. 12 Tennessee on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Cross Country
The Texas A&M cross country teams open postseason action at the SEC Championships on Friday. The gun goes off at 9:08 a.m. CT for the men's 8k race, followed by the women running the 6k course at 9:50 a.m.

At last year's SEC Cross Country Championships, the Aggie men finished fifth, while the women's squad placed eighth.

This year's field includes all 14 SEC schools, with the exception of Mississippi State and South Carolina on the men's side.

The No. 4 Texas A&M equestrian fell to No. 3 SMU Thursday afternoon at the Dallas Equestrian Center.

Texas A&M will face No. 7 South Carolina in Blythewood, South Carolina on Saturday, November 3 at 9 a.m.
