ACC Network and ESPN sideline reporter Katie George will be on the sidelines for ABC at Hard Rock Stadium this Saturday. On Friday's edition of TexAgs Radio, George joined the program to discuss the matchup and each team's keys to success.

Key notes from Katie George interview

  • Both teams feel like they are moving in the right direction. I think Texas A&M feels like they are in a better place because they have more proven players. Mario Cristobal inherited an interesting roster. He brought in 40 newcomers. He has upgraded the talent on the roster.

  • I have to believe Miami’s offense will have the firepower with Shannon Dawson calling the plays. I'm excited to see these teams play. A&M’s receiving corps is unbelievable to watch. Will Miami go zone or play man-to-man? I don’t know if Miami has the personnel to match up with the Evan Stewarts and Noah Thomas’ of the word.

  • When you have an SEC team in the field, it will be one in the trenches. Cristobal hangs his hat on good line play. They went and got upgrades. I would not want to go against that front seven that A&M puts on the field, and they are more experienced.

  • Conner Weigman is talented and seems very poised. When he has hands in his face and bodies around him, he doesn't seem to flinch and still delivers the ball. He has to have swagger with the curly hair he is rocking.

  • Bobby Petrino is alive and well. As someone who played volleyball at Louisville, he is an incredible offensive mind. I feel like he has nine lives. I am curious to see the give-and-take he and Jimbo Fisher have. He does a great job putting his quarterback in positions to succeed.

  • For Texas A&M, you have to play clean football. We saw so many miscues around the country in Week 1. This game on paper favors A&M. Miami has to be able to change the picture for Weigman and get after him. They have a couple of guys that can do it. Make Weigman make a mistake. Miami will have to come to play.

  • Tyler Van Dyke told me yesterday he is completely fine. He seems happier and healthier in this new system with Shannon Dawson. They didn't throw the ball deep against Miami Ohio. I think they are holding the cards close to the vest. This system allows him to be him. I will be interested to see how vertical they can get. Mark Fletcher is another guy to keep your eye on. He is a true freshman. I'm excited for this matchup.
