It may have turned into an eyesore but I remember the Presidential election night in 1984. The GOP had their election party there to celebrate Ronald Reagan's re-election and to also celebrate Phil Graham's defeating Lloyd Doggett for the US Senate seat. We had quite a celebration that evening watching Reagan beat Mondale in 49 of the 50 states!

it's weird that the tower is gone, but i know that it had to be done. Hope we can build something better to take its place
