Texas A&M did exactly what it needed to do by claiming a crucial series victory on the road over Mississippi State. Seated at 14-16 in conference play, the 10-seed Aggies now head to Hoover to face 7-seed Tennessee in the SEC Tournament. They will play tomorrow after South Carolina and Georgia’s 9:30 a.m. meeting on SEC Network.
Softball
Despite a valiant effort, A&M fell in the Austin Regional final against Texas on Sunday, 11-5. With the loss, year one under Trisha Ford has now come to a close, with the Aggies making their 21st consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament and finishing 35-21 overall.
Women’s Golf
The Texas A&M women’s golf team tied at seventh (5-over) after the third round of the NCAA Championships on Sunday at the Grayhawk Golf Club and will be seeking a match-play berth for the second-consecutive year in the fourth round. They will tee off today at 1:06 p.m.
