Coleman chose Florida State today. Poor laneQuote:
Keon Coleman was supposed to visit, but he canceled because A&M took Jahdae Walker. People got in his ears and asked how he would get the football if he went to A&M. There's not a spot to grab. It sounds like Ole Miss will land Coleman.

Recruiting Country: The latest recruiting news surrounding the Maroon & White
TexAgs' recruiting analyst Ryan Brauninger joined TexAgs Radio on Wednesday morning for another edition of Recruiting Country, highlighting the latest news and notes from the recruiting trail surrounding Texas A&M.
Key notes from Recruiting Country interview
- My brain has been scrambled. We have been on the road. Keon Coleman was supposed to visit, but he canceled because A&M took Jahdae Walker. People got in his ears and asked how he would get the football if he went to A&M. There's not a spot to grab. It sounds like Ole Miss will land Coleman.
- I have notes I am working on. Some of it will be about Drelon Miller at Silsbee. I have been traveling and talking to sources about June. A&M has appeared on narrowed-down lists. This is a high time for kids to narrow it down. A&M is making a lot of those lists for kids we haven't talked enough about. They have set guys they want, but we're figuring out guys on the fringes. We are piecing together what that big board looks like.
- They have thrown out so many offers. It seems like every day, there are five to six offers from all over the country. It's more difficult to tell what has staying power. You have to offer them to get them on campus. Going into the summer, you have a good grasp of who the top state guys are.
- Tyanthony Smith will be a part of my update. This is the second time in two weeks that D.J. Durkin has been by Jasper. Kiotti Armstrong is also there. I have good connections in southeast Texas.
- Jason Howell and I are on the road to get a feel for these kids. Nothing is pressing that will happen soon. Drelon Miller is coming close to a commitment. That's enormous for A&M. It could signify real momentum in the state of Texas. You need it in the state, and Miller would provide that.
- As extensive as our network is, you are never going to get a full heads-up on the up-and-comers. Coaches will reach out. You go over to watch a game, and ask people on the sideline who is that kid.
- Football is a sport where A&M is really active in high school recruiting. A lot of big programs don't rely on the portal. Baseball programs will rely on the portal. We have not seen that yet in football.
- Nate Kibble is an Atascocita offensive lineman. He said Kam Dewberry talks to him all the time about A&M. He said a lot of good things about A&M, and I could see him signing here.
