After a 26-year battle with Cystic Fibrosis, Austin Michael Hodge went home to be with Jesus. In his lifetime, Austin’s interests included sports, hunting, cooking, and gaming. Austin majored in sport management at Texas A&M. But, nothing held his attention more than the performance of the Texas A&M football team. Austin was a tried and true Aggie, and his support for the Maroon and White never wavered.
All those that knew Austin well or who observed from afar would attest, in the words of PH DuVal Jr. ’51 (“The Last Corps Trip”):
He always had the grit;
We’ve seen him lose and we’ve seen him win,
But we’ve never seen him quit.
To honor Austin’s legacy and his love for our great University, a scholarship in his name has been established.
Our goal of $25,000 will ensure that the scholarship is Endowed to a legacy for Austin here at Texas A&M as it supports Aggies in Sport Management for the life of the University!!
