Is anyone really surprised by either the seeding or the linkage to tu?

worst case should have been a 6 seed and could have easily been a 5. Committee clearly just wanted the tu game and did whatever it took to make it happen. They don't want to play us, but not sure I want to play a 2 seed coming off a CCG drubbing of KU either.

Sips and Ags both have to worry about getting out of the first round before thinking about a Lone Star showdown. I'm pretty shocked with a 7 seed, thought a low 6 was worst possible. Clown show.
People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.

This is my take: Yes we should have been a 5 or 6 seed. The crappy game against Bama hurt. At least we could have made it close, but we got trucked. Nothing like Bama clearing its bench with 2 minutes left.

However, we are hopefully going to get to play a high exposure game - prolly on prime TV against our arch enemy Texas. Yes, it would be nice to play them in the Sweet 16, but there's no guarantee we get to the Sweet 16 - gotta win 2 games to get there. After the Bama thumping, I'm not positive that happens.

Now we can play a nationally ranked #2 on prime TV early. Beat them and we're on to the Sweet 16 and we become the Cinderella Team with extreme exposure. We want national respect as a basketball program, this is how it gets done. Beat Penn State and t.u. and nobody remembers the bad loss to Bama.

Gig 'em!
