Recruiting Country: The latest recruiting news surrounding the Maroon & White

TexAgs' recruiting analyst Ryan Brauninger joined TexAgs Radio this morning for another edition of Recruiting Country, highlighting the latest news and notes from the recruiting trail ahead of a huge recruiting weekend.

Key notes from Recruiting Country

• It was going to be an enormous date but now it's one of the most important. You didn't know this was going to happen. The recruiting job just got harder. It’s harder to see the vision. The coaching staff knows that. If you win Saturday night in an incredible atmosphere, it does not unring the bell, but it moves things forward. 
   
• We just released the visitor list ahead of Miami. It’s loaded. A lot of five stars and borderline five-star. Kids that are uncommitted, committed and committed elsewhere. 
   
• Opposing recruiting staffs are going to go after A&M’s offense. You can't get mad at that. The atmosphere in a night game, there will be a lot of people tuned in. There are some questions about A&M this weekend that will be answered.
   
• Colton Thomasson‍ was full of confidence on Sunday. He was confident that they will take care of business against Miami. He was fired up about it. I’ve had some conversations, and no one is backing away from their commitment. It’s a huge dagger to the momentum, and you have to climb out of it. That starts this week.
   
• You have to prove it. Jimbo kept talking about vision then they went 9-1. It will help you immensely if you have a good game on Saturday.
   
• Samu Taumanupepe‍ ran back an interception. I retweeted it on my Twitter so go see that. Henderson Nevada flew down here to play Atascosita. They were running a screen, and Samu sniffed it out and returned it 20 yards. You don't see a dude that big make those athletic plays. He’s a different body than A&M has right now. Super pumped for Samu. 
   
• Last week, Thursday was Woodlands vs Conroe Oak Ridge to see Justin Williams‍. On Friday, I went by Jasper and Port Arthur Memorial. If you follow recruiting, you will hear about some of those names down there soon because they have a lot of underclassmen that are starting on varsity. That night, I went to see Nederland play Silsbee at Lamar in Beaumont. Drelon Miller‍ could play everything and is one of the best athletes in the class of 2024. This week, I’m going to see Paetow against Mayde Creek then will see Dalton Brooks‍ play at Shiner.
   
• You have to win games and play better than you did last Saturday. If they don't do that, that's going to make recruiting extremely tough and putting out updates extremely tough because nobody will want to read them.
   
• Hykeem Williams‍ is coming this weekend. The visitor list did not change. With Williams, Flordia, Georgia and Miami are A&M’s biggest competitors right now.
