• Complete and total dominance by the Aggie defense in D.J. Durkin’s first game running the show in College Station. Playing without three guys who likely would have started the opener, the A&M defense pitched a season-opening shutout and dominated the game from wire-to-wire. The Bearkats’ longest play from scrimmage was an 18-yard gain on a fake punt. The visitors didn’t snap the ball inside the red zone and were a miserable 1-for-12 on third down.
