Sports Sturm is awesome when he sticks to sports and doesn't venture into social issues or politics. The same could be said for all of the Ticket hosts.

The Ticket's Bob Sturm offers his perspective on Fisher, 2022 Aggies
Sports Sturm or Aggie Bob? Bob Sturm of Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket in Dallas joined Monday's show to share his thoughts on Jimbo and the Aggies heading into the 2022 season, the Longhorns, Sooners and more.
Key notes from Bob Sturm interview
- Relegation can work. Do the guys that have the power or the most to lose, would they risk it? It would require rich and powerful people to give up their monopolies. In college football, it makes all the sense in the world. I would love to see two losing teams play in an effort to stay in the conference. I just want an 18 or 12-team playoff. 16 teams feels borderline. You can find ninth-grade me writing a paper on that. I’m all for a nice, big College Football Playoff.
- I’m up for whatever. I'm certainly not the type of person that likes seeing big and small schools at the beginning of the season with a 37-point spread when it's 105 degrees out. I'm totally down for bowl games at the beginning of the season. Bowl games are fading. I do think college football has to move the ball forward. A lot of the boulders have been moved around and rightfully so.
- I love the talent level at Texas A&M. It's as high as it's ever been, and injecting talent and great depth is happening. It's all about the quarterback position. You can mitigate that with all those five-stars on your defensive line and cut corners. I still need to see the quarterback move up to be one of the best players on the field. That's probably the last piece of the puzzle. I'm excited to be down there in College Station. This is a quarterback sport, and they need to make sure they are fortified there along with the rest of the roster.
- If you are a critic of A&M, they have a comedy set ready with jokes. People default to 8-4 or the Alamo Bowl. There's no shortage of critics here or down the interstate at Texas. They feel like they have critics too. It's up to this program to point at the scoreboard. That's the ultimate silencer.
- I have more questions about Ohio State just because I’m programmed to believe Alabama has all the answers all the time. As I look at the 2023 draft, there is Alabama again. Despite A&M trying to vacuum up all the five stars, Alabama is going to be themselves.
- Arkansas has done a fantastic job of building a culture, finding a coach, the ethos and a physical style of play. I give Arkansas a ton of credit for putting the better part of the season together. They have the belief that they can go toe-to-toe with the Aggies. That's a big step. That will be a great physical matchup with the Razorbacks.
- With Texas and Oklahoma, there are so many unknowns. They do have horses. Texas is getting their quarterback scene squared away. With Oklahoma, I assume they are putting quality out there. They've lost a ton of what they know. Oklahoma is one of the fascinating topics because your bet it is as good as mine. Baylor has made real strides in the Big 12, and I think Dave Aranda is one of the best up-and-coming coaches in the nation. Texas has a long way to go. They've been surviving off their reputation for long enough.
- It was the Cowboys’ first preseason game. If you are worried about it, you should read a book or do something more productive. They looked horrible. In the end, it means very little. The rookies got a lot of action. They are throwing guys in the deep end of the pool.
- My daughter being an Aggie has influenced my rooting interest.
