Morgan McDonald: You guys just tied the consecutive wins record for the program. What does it feel like to be part of an accomplishment like that?
Sheri Olivier: "It's really great. We've worked really hard this semester and put in a lot of hours on the court, a lot of traveling. So, it's an accomplishment for sure."

MM: You guys are coming off this huge win against William & Mary, you're preparing to host Michigan here this Friday ... what are some specific thoughts and goals you have going into that match?
Olivier: "It's definitely just about taking one match at a time and each person working on their own court and taking care of their own business. Not really trying to focus on the '10th win,' but just going out there and getting our work done as we have before."

MM: You were also the 2011 Aggie Spirit Award winner. What does it mean to you to be given an award like that.
Olivier: "Being a part of this school, with such school spirit, I'm glad I can be a part of that. You have support your team the best you can and you've got to be right there with your girls, so it was good."

MM: Obviously, when you were looking for schools to go to when you were in high school, a strong tennis program was probably your main priority. But what other than tennis led you to choose Texas A&M?
Olivier: "I actually took four visits, to some California schools and A&M. Coming here really felt like a home environment. The Aggie Network is incredible and the support you get here, it can't be matched."

MM: Both of your parents played tennis in college. What kind of influence have they had on your career?
Olivier: "A huge influence. My dad was my coach; he was an All-American. My mom played in college, and my grandparents played, so it's just in my blood to be a tennis player."

MM: If you could play any sport at A&M other than tennis, what would it be and why?
Olivier: "I would play volleyball ... because they just look so cool!" (laughs)

MM: What is your favorite Aggie tradition?
Olivier: "I think my favorite would be the 'Howdy.' Or the 12th Man, just because being an athlete, we feel so supported."
