"joining us on the BUD LIGHT HOTLINE, is former a&m Coach Billy Gillispie".

I laughed. Perfect. Fit.

Love BCG. Bring him back.

Sure he does...he was given a lot of love and a lot of $$ here....plus he was able to get out of El Paso...the turn around he made happen put him in the national spot light...Acie Law helped him
enhance his reputation!

Bet he wonders where he would be if he never left?

Kenpom had A&M rated #7 in 2007

Carter, Kirk, Sloan, Jones, and Deandre Jordan with BCG would have won that UCLA game...BCG demanded hard-nosed defense and hustle. The games were masterful to watch strategically and the fans loved those teams. He'll turn tceh around...it make take a few years. The cupboard was absolutely bare.

What Billy Clyde didn't realize is that the Bluebloods and KY didn't want to dive on the floor. They're happy to take advances in their salary while waiting for the NBA.

We didn't beat UCLA the year before and we better/they were worse. DeAndre wasn't that special for us. His Awful pass that lead to a Russell westbrook layup killed us. He also lost to a team that was worse than that UCLA team the year before.

That said, I never thought we'd lose with BCG except against KU.

BCG was a perfect fit for A&M and have nothing but good things to say about the way he built the program. Turge is a heck of a coach also, even if he never felt embraced, and the Tobi thing was a tough break for our bigs. The passion and fire of BCG was inspirational to our sleeping basketball community. He never doubted we would win here even though most in El Paso thought he was crazy for chasing the dollars.

If he would have stayed at Aggieland and continued the momentum that he gained, he would have had the court named after him. Sadly, I would take him back. How can we recover from this horrendous season?

Method,

Completely disagree. BCG would have gotten significantly more out of Jordan, especially on the defensive end. The point is we would have been better with BCG in 2008 than 2007, in no small part because we would not be adjusting to a new system.

The Memphis team we lost to in 2007 was pretty darn good, a year away from the NC game.

I doubt it. Jordan might have even quit. He could barely handle Turgeon.

Let me ask you...did you expect to better after losing Acie and AK? May have had a few more wins in conference.

Jordan wouldn't have lasted 3 months under BCG. He didn't like being told what to do and he wasn't into team anything.

Turgeon benched him (rightfully so) when he wouldn't respond to any kind of coaching input.
