Coach. When will you stop allowing Kellen Mond to kill the momentum and spirit of this team by allowing him to continuously make drive ending mistakes over and over again? He is constantly high and behind his receivers with his passes, his reads are slow, he stares down his receivers, he doesn't appear to know when to tuck the ball and run as was evident in this game, and when he gets rattled he fumbles the ball. He had a HUGE missed opportunity to run, with a blocker, for a first down and potentially even a touch down, but decided to force throw it deep and it wasn't even close. Next series he comes out, immediately tries to run and is sacked. He is NOT the answer. This is embarrassing and getting ridiculous, put in the freshman and get him some playing time.

Get the cancer out of the locker room. No improvement from his freshman year to now. Inexcusable effort overall tonight.

Same old Aggie Spiritual:

Verse 1: OL shall not block. Cant get a 3rd and 4th and 1 against vandy. Will this weak group really inherit the earth?

Verse 2: Thou receivers shall drop passes and not run correct routes

Verse 3; thou shall not forget thine own history. Thou shall fumble fumble and fumble as your Aggie forefathers hath done for generations

Amen

Mond had his worst game in his career in my opinion. He needs to build chemistry with this new WR group. There were a few bright spots. The RBs played great for the most part. Preston and Lane had good games. I think the WRs from a talent perspective will be better at the end of the year than we have seen in several years. Demas needs to play. Why are we throwing jump balls to A Smith at the corner of the end zone twice?

Clemons finally looked the part. I know it's Vandy, but he was impressive. The Defense as a whole looked really good from a talent standpoint. Leal, Peevy, Buddy Johnson, ONeal Jr, Richardson among others all had good games.

Each of the last several years, I think going into the season that the O-Line will be in the top 6 of the SEC and each year early on I am disappointed. How can you not get a yard on 3rd and 1 against Vandy? Why is Moore still playing LT? Experience does not matter if you are NOT talented enough to play LT in the SEC. He should be a Guard. The Center position is still tbd. The O-Line looked a little better in the second half.

Dumb ST return decisions. The block in the back was a questionable call, but still no excuse for fielding that punt.

Flashes of spectacular talent on both sides of the ball, but in general, the team was in disarray and was totally outsmarted by Vandy.

Quarterback change would be refreshing and offer hope for improvement even if it didn't immediately result in a win. I am sick of hearing how great KM is in practice. Let him be a coach and team cheerleader, but let somebody else play QB.

Mond was adequate, but that is all he will ever be. I saw a lot of talent on the field that just needs to come together as a team. With the strange schedule of getting this season started I doubt if many teams are hitting on all cylinders right now. With each game we will get better.

I agree on everything except Mond. He's consistently been inconsistent. He's not going to get better. He can sometimes hit an open receiver. It's about 55/45 in favor of completing a pass ( I'm talking open receiver that's 5 yards past the line of scrimmage).

Mond is great at throwing sideline bubble screen passes

Why are we wasting reps on KM while most other teams in our conference are using a garbage year to break in new quarterbacks? We will have to start somebody with no experience next year having pissed away a chance to get a new guy started this year!

Going to break this down as simplistically and factually as possible so even this forum and Olin can understand.

Kellen is intelligent, physically gifted and possesses high-end arm talent. We have all seen this repeatably against both lesser and the highest level of competition in college football (Clem, Lsu, Bama and Georgia over the last 2 seasons), but only when the Ags are behind and have simplified the playbook to more designed vertical plays with the opposing defenses playing tight or back (I've watched all the film so don't patronize us with "it only worked against prevent defenses". When Kellen is simply reacting he can take over a game, but our coaching staff will not install an entire game plan that way (and Jimbo will find out quickly that Lane and Leach will do this and with significantly less talent on their rosters).

Instead our coaches insist on running a pro-style offense where Kellen has to make split-second decisions across multiple permutations and variables. He has shown us his entire career that he cannot slow the game down sufficiently to make accurate, catchable throws or precisely implemented zone-reads (in fact very few QBs in the NFL can do this consistently) so please everyone adjust expectations to the actual problem which is the coaching. He literally looked like 2017 Kellen vs UCLA last night against an absurdly under-sized and under-coached Vandy squad. Simplify the f'ing playbook and just let your superior f'ing talent dictate the outcome of game!

This problem is now getting exacerbated by recruiting more physically gifted (OL, RB and WR) talent around Kellen. It's like taking his Honda away and replacing it with a stable of Ferraris and Porsches. When you cannot slow the game down adding more speed to an existing complex scheme will lead to even lower probability outcomes.

Liucci please order Gabe to instruct Dalton to put this analysis into a clear, concise 3-page PowerPoint with situation, complication and recommendation format and slide underneath Jimbo's office door this weekend. Expecting different outcomes without changing anything is the definition of insanity so please less talk and more action from the Post-Game Wrap squad!

If Mond can't handle the speed of the game after three years the problem is not on the coaching staff it's on QB1. Are you seriously saying we should simplify the offense for our 4th year senior? Let's move on. Get the young guns some game time to prepare for next year.

Yes...brilliant Why simply pivot the playbook when we can throw even less experienced players at the equation (did you watch Kyler Murray play in the SEC as a freshman)?

Losing more games than necessary to get other QBs reps will undermine the 2021/22 recruiting classes. Please stop posting on the this board undercover Sumlin and get back to pounding the afternoon Screwdrivers.

Wow...you've been a premium member since all of 2019that's definitely life-time achievement material. Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back for the sock drawer collection either. Instead how about you just provide "one" substantive point on how to fix the offense.

In the meantime I'll be busy leading a company this coming week, but will make time to check back in on your color-by-numbers witticisms and replies. Deal?

Soooo you don't know what a sock is?

You'll be gone in less than a year. My friend leads a company. Pedro's mowing. S Corp with one employee. But hey, he's the company leader. Lol

I've learned over the years..if you have to try to brag to impress you full of **** and probably have a little dick to boot.

Here you go youngster. Kellen practices well. He looks great and makes good decisions in practice.

In the game he can't process what's going on quick enough. He gets confused. He's trying, he just can't do it. Jimbo's got too much invested to give up and no one else that's better. Jimbo is stuck. Kellen is trying he just can't do any better.

Running the fry station at BK doesn't constitute "leading a company"

Yeah, those coaches caused him to fumble 3 times -- 2 were entirely on him. -- the one on 4th and 1 - he keeps that he is walking in for a touchdown - no one was close to him. yeah, coaching though.
