• Mike Elko's defense came within 40 seconds of pitching the shutout and within 8 yards of pitching some sort of 'rushing yardage shutout' if such a stat exists. Until Texas State's final drive of the game - an 11-play, 84 yard TD march against a collection of second- and third-teamers - the Aggies hadn't allowed a point, and the Bobcat offense had managed just 135 yards on 50 snaps. That's less than three yards per play if you're scoring at home.
