West Memphis (AR) offensive lineman Chris Morris‍ has made a name for himself as one of the most dominant offensive linemen in the SEC-area, and since the Aggies offered, they have been high on his list.

Today Morris decided to shake things up, and Texas A&M went from high on his list to his college choice – a choice we’ve been expecting him to make for over a month now.

Texas A&M extended an offer to Morris in the spring of 2018, and he was at Texas A&M’s 7OT win over LSU on an unofficial visit. Most recently, he returned to College Station for a pair of visits this spring and summer and then his official visit for the Alabama game. He’s been a high priority target for Jimbo Fisher and Josh Henson for most of this calendar year.

In January, the 6-4, 290-pound standout named the Aggies in his top 12 alongside Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina, Purdue, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Memphis. Ultimately, this was a head-to-head win for the A&M staff over the Volunteers.

He becomes the Aggies’ 18th commitment of the 2020 class and he joins Josh Bankhead‍, Smart Chibuzo‍, and Akinola Ogunbiyiin the offensive line class.

As a player and a prospect, Morris checks every box to be an elite big man in the Southeastern Conference. He’s big. He’s mean. He’s powerful. He’s mobile. He’s essentially the perfect piece of clay to mold into a big-time player in the country’s premier conference. You can view his highlights below.
