Soccer
The No. 16 Texas A&M soccer team received a bid from the NCAA Division I Championship earlier this week. The Aggies will host the North Texas Mean Green in a first round match tonight at Ellis Field. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
Texas A&M is 15-4-1 on the season and finished tied for third in the SEC at 6-3-1. The winner of tonight’s Texas A&M-North Texas match will play the winner of TCU-BYU in the second round next weekend.
Cross Country
Today, the Texas A&M cross country team will host the NCAA South Central Region Meet for the second consecutive year. The women's 6,000m race kicked off at 9:15 a.m. and the men's 10,000m began at 10:15 a.m. The top two teams in each race, along with the top four individuals not associated with a qualifying team, will advance to the NCAA Championship field.
Volleyball
Aggie volleyball is coming off of a win against Auburn at home last Wednesday and a loss at No. 25 Tennessee on Sunday.
Texas A&M (13-12, 6-7 SEC) is in sixth place in the SEC standings with five matches remaining. Tonight, the Aggies will host South Carolina for daddy daughter night beginning at 5 p.m. Texas A&M will also host Ole Miss on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Men's Basketball
Following the volleyball game, Aggie basketball will host UC Irvine in an 8:30 tip-off. The Aggies are coming off of a 98-83 win over Savannah State on Wednesday night. Sophomore guard TJ Starks was named to the Coaches Preseason All-SEC Second Team ahead of Wednesday's home opener.
Women's Basketball
No. 20 Texas A&M women’s basketball won its sixth straight season-opener at Reed Arena, holding off Rice for a 65-54 win. The Aggie women return to action this Sunday, hosting Jacksonville at 6 p.m.
