On why the Aggies have been so effective this season:

"The biggest thing is that we know that we can score when we need to. I think the team is playing with a lot of confidence knowing that our defense is very hard to penetrate, we have one of the best goalkeepers in the nation in Corsette (Morche). The athleticism of our back line is really special. Nobody that I can think of is going to beat us for speed on the outside. Briana Alston had a great weekend for us at center back, Jordan Hill shuts down some really good players that she's up against and scores a goal. The same thing with Kendall Ritchie -- she continues to do it on both sides of the ball, offense and defense. That, and the fact that we're scoring three goals a game is only going to have our girls be more confident going into the next weekend with two big games."

On making sure his team doesn't get overconfident:

"They know our goals, they set our goals. They know that our goal is to compete for and to win a National Championship. For that to happen a lot of magic and good things have to happen. That's not going to occur if we don't take care of the little things ahead of every game. There's going to be a lot of hype about the football game, a potential tropical storm hitting this weekend and they're now in their second week of classes so we will have to continue to cut through that clutter and keep them focused. The good news is that they get to focus on something that they love to do - coming to recess every day and getting better. They've been really good, there's been a professional demeanor all season so I have no worries."

On the performance of Ally Watt:

"I think a part of it is know they self. With Ally, she's always had this amazing gift of lightning-fast pace. But, knowing how to use it and make it last throughout 45 minutes of a half, 90 minutes of the game. That was one of her goals last season to be a 90-minute player, right now, she could play 90 minutes. We take her out right before the half to give her an extra break prior to halftime in a lot of our games. She really has developed who he is and what her strengths are. Last night was a great example, in the first half, Santa Clara knows who she is and dropped way off of her. We weren't giving her enough information to tell her that she had enough time to turn and run at people. In the second half, it took her 75 seconds to get the ball turn and actually run at people and score the goal. Her understanding of these things is the biggest jump in her productivity."

On the early strength of schedule:

"Our wish is that we beat everybody and then after we beat them, they go win the rest of their games, especially in the non-conference part of the season. So, the good news is that Hawaii is now on a three-game win streak, Loyola has won a couple games, OU is going to get themselves right and get some wins, we know Santa Clara is a top 10 team. The two teams that we're playing this week, have both been on a good roll. Colorado College is one of the teams that in the early years of women college soccer were a big power, it was them and North Carolina. This is another team that a lot of people may not know what the school is about, but they're a team that comes in with a lot of intensity. These games are only important for us if we win them. If we don't win them then we have to do other things further down the line. If we can just take care of the things right in front of us, and we can do that against Colorado College on Friday."

On the weekend ahead:

"They'll definitely be excited. The biggest thing that we want is for fans to come to Aggieland and get the whole athletic experience - to get the 12th Man, not just on Saturday night in Kyle Field. Volleyball has a tournament that starts on Friday morning. You get a chance to see Bird and their team with two games on Friday. We've moved our game back to 8 pm for volleyball so that fans can go to both games. It makes it easier for people to come to our match and then head to Midnight Yell Practice on Friday. The parking lots are going to be full, the RV lots will be full, we hope people will come out and see not just what men's football will do on Saturday but what women's football will do on Friday and Sunday."
