Notes from Billy's breakdown on Preston

  • I think Jalen is a stud football player, competitor and athlete. I bet he was the first dude picked on every team. You know what? He was probably picking the teams. He is that good. I want that guy on my side no matter what kind of competition it is.

  • You look at that state championship game. He was trying to win that game for them all by himself. The QB knew which player he was throwing to, like Johnny and Mike. He is built like an NFL safety or tailback, but he is a wide receiver all the way.

  • Either Jashaun Corbin or Jalen are going to be an impact returner for the Aggies too. Preston is so physical when he catches and runs. He reminds me of Christian Kirk and Ryan Swope sometimes. He is bigger than them, but when he gets the ball in his hands he is so strong and hard to take down. Sometimes you aren't actually open down the field but you are open cause you can play like Mike Evans. He has that basketball background too, which is always good.

  • He is such a huge get for A&M. They had to hold off Texas too. Early on he could have played anywhere, but he waited a while and Jimbo Fisher and his coaches knew what they had. He was really high on coming and playing for Coach Sumlin so they had to re-recruit him for sure.

Special thanks to southeastern New Mexico’s best kept secret, Rainmakers Resort and Club, an Aggie-owned resort featuring summer temps in the 70s and 80s and a Robert Trent Jones-designed golf course.

Apparently the use of that word as a noun knows no bounds.

In that article the author says, "get and ask have been nouns for as long as they have been verbs in English". However, the earliest example he gives is 1983.

That guy or girl would fit in well in the Zoo. He or she makes claims and then can't or won't validate them.

Unless he or she is claiming that 1983 is "as long as [those words] have been verbs in English".
