The No. 10 Aggie softball team (34-9, 7-5 SEC) wrapped up the weekend series against No. 22 Mississippi State with a 4-1 win in extra innings in Starkville.

After Keeli Milligan reached on a shot through the infield, Sarah Hudek laid down a perfect bunt. The throw to first was sailed high and Milligan was able to use her speed to score and Hudek reached third to ultimately give the Aggies the win in the top of the eighth. Tori Vidales (8 HR), in the next at-bat, would crank the ball over the scoreboard in left field to give A&M two insurance runs.

The Aggies got on the scoreboard first in the top of the first inning. The duo of Milligan and Hudek would get things started. Milligan would reach on a fielding error and Hudek capitalized by bringing her home with an RBI double to left field.

The Bulldogs would notch a run in the bottom of the fourth. After Trinity Harrington surrendered two straight walks, pinch hitter Taylor Kelly plated her teammate with an RBI single to right field.

Harrington got the start in the circle for A&M and pitched well. She tossed four innings while giving up one run and striking out three before turning the ball over to Lexi Smith in relief.

When Smith (6-1, 1.39 ERA) got the ball, she was dominant in relief — throwing four shutout innings with two strikeouts on her way to earning the win.

With a win on Sunday, the Aggies took two of three from the Bulldogs on the road and won the series.

The Aggies will return to the diamond April 13 as they host Kentucky for a weekend series at the Aggie Softball Complex. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network +.
