After volatile week, Aggies earn much-needed victory over NSU

As impossible as it may seem, Kevin Sumlin’s horrendous week almost got worse.
That only could’ve happened if Texas A&M had fallen to an obscure Southland Conference opponent, which in its entire existence had never defeated a major college football program.
Yet, the Aggies were there, somehow locked in a 14-14 tie with Nicholls State with just over 12 minutes remaining. Nicholls had just scored on a four-play drive. The visiting Colonels had momentum.
