Notes from Billy's breakdown of Dodson
- We’re at the point in this list that you’re starting to get to the guys that you know are going to be big time for A&M or could be. Dodson is one of those guys who has the potential to be a big time player for A&M.
- You have a true MIKE linebacker in Tyrel Dodson. He is one of the most hardworking guys I’ve seen in the offseason. He has the look and frame for the middle linebacker position.
- Tyrel Dodson has a chance to be a really good player for A&M, not just over his career but this year in particular.
- You could tell last year he was a guy who hadn’t played a lot. Chavis said Dodson, a freshman, should have been playing more. He could be starting come this season.
- The linebacker position is very encouraging going into this year, moving guys to their true positions and putting a big, strong, physical guy like Dodson at the MIKE.
- He is going to get every opportunity to win that MIKE position. He looks more than ready to take that spot, both physically and mentally.
