After dropping game one of the Women’s College World Series to top-seeded Florida, the Aggie softball team will face off against No. 5 UCLA (47-14) in an elimination game Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

UCLA swept No. 12 Ole Miss in the regional round to earn its third consecutive ticket to the WCWS.

The Bruins lost their first game of the Women's College World Series to LSU on Thursday, 2-1. Rachel Garia (1.92 ERA, 22-8) was in the circle and took the loss against the Tigers.

Known as heavy-hitting team, UCLA team made noise by tying the game in the third, 1-1, before the Tigers scored in the fifth on a controversial call at the plate that won them the game.

In the last 13 seasons, no team has lost its first WCWS game and gone on to win the tournament. Both UCLA and A&M have accomplished the feat, however: UCLA in 2003 and A&M in 1983. Both teams seek to repeat that this time around.

The winner will play the loser of the Washington/Oklahoma game at 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
