That's what I've been wandering the past several years. All softball questions. No one has balls. I assume if you ask tough questions then Alan cannon will just pull your media pass

you better get rid of him, this program has become a laughingstock, even the radio announcer on ESPN said it was mind boggling not calling time out after Patterson got sack right before the end of the half.

ive never heard any serious or tough questions after our losses. people need to really put the pressure on them with the questioning. At worst if it sounds unfair or aggressive, at least sumlin could use that for motivation...if there is any left...

All I heard was uh, uh, uh, uh, [canned response], uh, uh, uh, [canned response], uh, uh.... Rinse and repeat.

I never understood why a coach would just walk into the half with decent time still on the clock. Definitely not a killer mentality. His best argument is that we get the ball back to start the second half? Because going up by two more scores would just be greedy?

Only needed 10 seconds of hearing him to realize he knows he's done. Even if he's here next year he sees the writing on the wall.

KS explanation for not trying to score before halftime is completely idiotic. "Knowing we were going to get the ball to start the second half had a lot to do with that decision..." to eat timeouts and not go for the jugular and potentially put up two scores before Ol Miss gets the ball.

WOW! Just WOW!

So... you have back to back scoring opportunities, but pass (as in Poker pass; not football pass) on one of those? Hell, at that point, even if both scores were FGs, you're up 21.

That mentality, that way of thinking -- if you can even call that "thinking" -- is a microcosm of our problems.

I have wanted KS to succeed and have been in his corner, but no more. He doesn't seem to realize how his poor management of the game and of the team contributed to the loss. (There is plenty of blame to go around.)

I would say he should man up and own these things, but I believe he doesn't have the ability to identify what exactly he should own; i.e., how flawed his stated thought process was.

That's why he must go. He has reached his full capacity, his ceiling. He and his teams will get no better. JFF, and Case Keenum before him, and even TK to a certain extent, enabled KS to create this illusion that he is better than a mediocre head coach. Four straight mediocre seasons have proved otherwise.

Our talent is better than mediocre, but unfortunately it ultimately plays down to the same level if its boss.

I haven't watched a presser for the last two weeks, but please tell me he didn't say "that's a good football team we just played."
Always infuriates me when he says that when we lose (save Alabama).

I like Sumlin, win or lose. It baffles me that he keeps finding himself in this situation. I just don't understand it.

What troubles me about this press conference is his refusal to answer the questions that apparently only Texags staff is asking. We can't see the room from Sumlin's vantage point but it seems like Gabe, Olin and one other dude are the only people in the room.

When he's asked "why" these things happen and then answers those questions with the "how", it shows that he either:

1) Doesn't understand the question
2) Doesn't have the answer
3) Has the answer and doesn't want to say it

None of those options are good ones.

I would love to have won with Kevin Sumlin.

I am shocked at his demeanor and lack of taking responsibility for what happened last night. Obvious lack of discipline and coaching last night on both side of the ball. He is mentally done here. Just going through the motions before an obvious upcoming breakup. He has made his $$ here and is ready to move on without getting the job done.
We will beat UTSA next week but not decisively. LSU is salivating to go against our defense. Really disappointed in the production from the Chief style of defense. Mazzone hasn't got a clue on how to win games. Not one. KDS has been riding Johnny's coat tails and they just wore out.

It takes a lot of self control not to smirk when thinking about all that guaranteed money, even after going 0-for-Mississippi.
