Texas A&M, Jake Spavital mutually part ways

Embattled Texas A&M offensive coordinator Jake Spavital was officially relieved of his duties on Sunday putting an end to his roller-coaster, 27-game tenure in that position.
Texas A&M announced in a press release that the 30-year-old Spavital and head football coach Kevin Sumlin had “mutually agreed” to part ways.
“I want to thank Jake for his time here and for his important role in our program,” Sumlin said in the release.
