Soccer
- Defeated Vandy on Friday night, first home SEC match (1-0).
- Haley Pounds scored in the 70th minute.
- Taylor Saucier had her second shutout of the season.
- Aggies won (2-1) in exciting fashion Sunday Night with senior Karlie Mueller scoring her first career goal in the 109th minute (second overtime) against the North Texas Mean Green.
- Rough game, Mean Green earned their name finishing the night with 6 yellow cards.
- Senior Janae Cousineau scored her 3rd goal of the season to tie the match in 71st minute.
- Play again Thursday night at 6:00 PM in South Carolina against the No.16 Gamecocks.
Volleyball
- Fell to No.18 Florida State 3-1 on Friday in Tallahassee.
- Angela Lowak was injured in the opening set.
- Wrapped up their pre conference season Saturday with a 3-0 win over Florida A&M.
- Junior Kaysie Shebeneck started at setter for injured Stephanie Aiple, had 37 assists.
- Sophomore libero Amy Nettles had 8 digs.
- Junior Emily Hardesty had 9 kills.
- Aggies begin conference play Sunday when they host Arkansas at 1:30 at Reed Arena.
Men’s Golf
- Finished first fall tournament Sunday.
- Tied for 6th at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational with score of 24 over par.
- Senior Andrew Lister finished in 20th place, shot 2 rounds of even par.
- Senior Ben Crancer tied for 38th.
- Freshman Max Miller tied for 59th as an individual.
- Aggie look ahead to compete in the Jackrabbit in Valentine Nebraska on Sept. 26-28.
Women’s Tennis
- Opened their fall season at the Under Armour/HEB Kickoff in Waco.
- Finished with a 5-1 combined doubles record and a 6-5 combined singles record.
- Senior Stephania Hristov and sophomore Eva Palma were 3-0.
- Junior Rutuja Bhosale finished the weekend 2-1 in doubles.
- Senior Ana Mamalat finished 2-1 in singles.
- Bhosal and Paalma both went 1-1 in singles.
- Juniors Rachel Pierson and Saska Gavrilovska were competing in Malibu at the Oracle ITA Masters.
- Pierson went 0-2 in singles and the pair were 0-2 in doubles.
- Will compete again at the Riviera /ITA Women's All-American Championships in Palisades, Calif. in October.
Women's Golf
- Junior Andrea Jonama posted 4 under 67 on Saturday after she birdied 4 of her last 5 holes at the Schooner Fall Classic.
- As a team they finished the day shooting 3 over 287 to put them in 5th place after the first of three rounds.
- Began the second round yesterday.
Men’s Tennis
- Earned 7 wins on Friday at the Midland Fall Invitational.
- Juniors Frankie Colunga and James Martell and freshman Oscar Janglin and Kevin Lam all tallied wins for the Aggies.
- Return to action this weekend in College Station when they host the Conference Challenge Friday-Sunday.
