Notes from Billy's breakdown
- Speedy and whoever runs through the season as the starting quarterback are the two guys that have a chance to be #2 on next year's 30 in 30 list.
- Can be as good as he wants to be and will be as good as he is committed to being. He can already roll out of bed and be pretty dang good.
- His upside is an Amari Cooper type of guy that is dominant and can take the top off of a defense while also being very dynamic in the screen game, jet sweeps and the like.
- Came off his suspension during the spring and was on shaky footing with the program. However, he had a very quiet summer, has worked hard and has had a very strong start to fall camp both on and off the field.
- If Noil "gets it" and decides to be elite, he'll be one of the best receivers in the SEC this year. He could then roll into 2016 as a pre-season All-SEC guy and a possible first round draft pick after his junior year.
- Like Ricky Seals-Jones, Noil was a quarterback in high school and had to spend time learning the nuances of the wide receiver position in 2014.
- Noil is an extremely competitive person and it showed on the field in 2014. When other guys seemed to quit last year, Noil didn't and that was evident during the Mississippi State and Ole Miss games last season.
- Is elite in terms of athleticism, ball skills, quickness and versatility. With Noil, it's mastering the offense and learning to attack a defense. He'll now learn the little things about the wide receiver position from a guy perfect for the job in Aaron Moorehead.
- As with any receiver in this offense, he'll need to be okay with the fact that the touches sometimes just don't come your way, especially if you play well and begin to get targeted by the defense more and more.
