Texas 7-on-7 Tournament 2015: Prospects to watch
The adidas Texas 7v7 Tournament kicks off Thursday at 1:00 pm at
College Station's Veteran's Park, with the larger schools opening play
Friday at the same time.
From a Texas A&M perspective, on Thursday you won't want to miss Navasota wide receiver Tren'Davian Dickson in action. Dickson set the state single-season touchdown record last season and tore it up in last year's State 7-on-7 tourney. La Grange running back JK Dobbins will also be in action; he's nearing a decision, and it's likely to come down to A&M and Texas.
The pool of talent is much deeper on Friday, with Manvel once again coming in loaded ready to make a deep run after being ousted in the semis last year. For 2016 the focus should be on S Deontay Anderson and RB D'Vaughn Pennamon, who both hold A&M offers. Manvel also features some talented underclassman in '17 safety Derrick Tucker and 2018 DB Jalen Preston. Both should eventually end up with Aggie offers.
Where under-the-radar guys are concerned, Southlake Carroll's Robert Barnes tops the list. The 6-2, 185-pound safety started to make a name for himself this spring and is a guy the Ags have on their radar. Waxahachie's 2017 WR Jalen Reagor and Cedar Hill's Kaegun Williams, who just transferred in from Stephenville, are worth a look as well.
Come out and join us Thursday through Saturday to see a lot of top prospects in action.

The lone A&M commit participating is Langham Creek WR Quartney Davis. He first popped up on the radar this spring, and the 7-on-7 setting will be most Aggie fans' first chance to catch him in live action.

He first popped up on the radar this spring, and the 7-on-7 setting will be most Aggie fans' first chance to catch him in live action. You can also check out his teammate, five-star running back Toneil Carter, who A&M currently leads for.Where under-the-radar guys are concerned, Southlake Carroll's Robert Barnes tops the list.
