Moving forward, the rest of this series will be behind the pay wall, but we wanted to make this first one free to allow those of you new to the site to see the kind of content we're putting out on premium.

This kind of film breakdown isn't particularly informative. The last play we only see him after the ball has arrived. Some of the other plays are well done, but there isn't really much being discussed about the actual plays. I appreciate the staff doing these types of things, and I assume this one isn't as good because it was done for radio first.

The type of breakdowns that I find particularly informative are the types that Jerrod used to do for ya'll with all the x's and o's and what was supposed to happen vs. what actually happened. I'm not a super informed football fan so I get way more out of that then just showing the play and saying, "look at this, he made the tackle the right way." I'd also like to know, did the offense mess up? Was he in the proper position before making up lost ground? Should he have had recognition sooner? etc. etc. Gabe talks about him being abused by Hansbard, but do we see any instructive clips of that? No.

Thanks for the free tidbit, just trying to help y'all see my perspective on what provides more value to a potential subscriber.

We decided to give this out for free to the "Zoo" can enjoy it this first time.

In actuality, we are very limited - as all media companies our size are - but the tape that we can gather during games and the rights that we have to footage. We have a deal at home games where we can get "top cam" wide shots from the side but not the end zone ... and we have a shooter down on the field for the tighter, slow-motion stuff. But on road games, we do not - cannot - have access to a shooter in the press box so all we have is on-field stuff. Therefore, we have the tape we have and have to work with what we have in-house.

This is just the start of our venture into tape breakdown. We plan to keep getting deeper and deeper into it and we think Jordan is a very good analyst to handle this.

I agree...I didn't know everything you mentioned Gabe unitl you wrote it. It explains a lot of the limitations. But Jerrod did have a good segment with you guys.
