Texas A&M Football Recruiting
Nation's No. 2 kicker Braden Mann commits to Texas A&M
On Wednesday Kevin Sumlin smirked when he told the media: "With any luck we'll get our first commitment for '16 (after the 2015 class) maybe
tomorrow. That tells you how often I'm doing it (recruiting)."
It turned out to be more than empty foreshadowing on Thursday, when a #YESSIR went out on cue and Cy-Fair K Braden Mann announced he had joined Texas A&M's 2016 class.
Rated by Kohl's Kicking as the nation's No. 2 kicker and a five-star in both kicking and punting, Mann went 7-of-10 on field goals in his junior season — with an in-game long of 49 — and 46-of-48 on extra points. He also hit 30 touchbacks in 60 kickoffs and held a 40.7-yard average on 42 punts.
Mann was a 2014 Kohl's All-American at punter and was also selected to the All-Greater Houston First Team and First Team 17-6A All-District as a specialist. He becomes A&M's fourth commitment.
