Manziel's status still undecided

There’s always hope.

That’s the message that Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin sent on Tuesday when asked about the playing status of quarterback Johnny Manziel, who sustained a shoulder injury in a 45-41 loss to Auburn last week.

“I would list Johnny as hopeful,” said Sumlin, who would not divulge much more than that. “He was in treatment this morning at 7:30. That’s a precautionary measure.”

The Aggies face Vanderbilt on Saturday at Kyle Field.
