I say we move from forum to forum, causing each to crash as we overload their servers with 30,000-40,000 users. They must feel our pain.

I think we need to start having blackout drills where at scheduled times we all go to texags north, someone starts a thread, and we get a headcount. Ya know, for safety.

went to TexAgsNorth.com and was disappointed in how few of yall were there. I really thought that was the rendezvous point in the event something like this happened since its an unused site otherwise
I support the idea of a contingency plan.
Some Hawkeye fans (Rivals site) would go to the Baylor rivals site because they knew it was an empty and unpatrolled forum.
If you go (which you won't) to the Open Forum board at sicemsports.com, you will find their landing spot. It is so up to date, you will see visitors offering congrats for RGIII winning the Heisman on the first page.

the rant really is the best place to go as a back up. stay away from the actual rant unless you want to get into it with coonasses. gumps. etc. they have an a&m forum that would be ok to use if ever needed. just make sure you sign up before hand cause it takes a day or 2 before you can start posting.

I went to TexAgsNorth football forum and didn't find anybody there. And then tigerdroppings-the A&M board. Ditto. Kind of worried about having tigerdroppings as a back-up because the tigerrant goes down all of the time. Can they handle the sheer enormity of TexAgs? Especially threads about why we are forced to be there?

Problems with SEC Rant are:
1) You need a REAL (no gmail) e-mail account.
2) You have to pre-register (sincetheir staff has to approve you before you can start posting).
3) You have to ask to be added to the A&M board before you can post on it.

It will be a system built and patched by committee. A committee that rarely agrees about anything. Sound like a great idea!
