I know this has been talked about before, but as we near the fall semester does anyone have any concrete answers for which JUCO's are/aren't going to make it this fall as far as Jarius Neal and Tupe?

(or any HS players who might not make it for that matter)

Looks like this from what I've gathered:

Mark Dodge (LB) - IN
Misi Tupe (LB/DB)- IN
Jonathan Batson (DB) - IN but some are questioning now
Jarius Neal (LB/DB) - OUT
Torey DeGrate - OUT
Lionel Smith (DB) - OUT most say because he decided not to attend A&M
Will Harris (DB) - IN

that's all I've gathered from cobbling things together.

Not quite.

Smith left A&M because the NCAA clearinghouse decided that his charter school courses were insufficient (basically they said he didn't graduate HS)

Batson is almost definitely in (he played in all of the 7v7 this summer with the team) and (unless I missed something Liucci posted) Liucci hasn't mentioned that he won't be here.

Lionel Smith (DB) - OUT, but should be here next spring! what was said above about not all of his HS credits counting is true. He should finish HS in the fall and be here in the spring. Since he didn't sign with us, it is possible for him to go to another school now.

Haven't heard much on Smith since the NCAA Clearinghouse decision came down. I know he was in school this summer. I guess he's back in Houston getting ready to take classes this Fall? I really hope he comes back!

Lionel Smith is not a JUCO. Not sure why you are lumping him in with the JUCOs.

Lionel Smith basically traded recruiting classes with Matt Szymanski. Smith goes from 2006 to 2007 and Szymanski goes from 2007 to 2006.

So with Neal and Degrate, now that they aren't coming here this fall, are we terminating our relationships with them or could they be here next spring or fall?

Because I had seen folks refer to him as one and I honestly just wasn't certain.
