I find it hard to believe that the Ags could sign a JUCO rb when they saw what CL did this year? Do they really think they'd get as much playing time as they want/expect?

Man, I hope we are in on this guy. I have hoping for a Tatum Bell, Q. Griffin type back, and this guy fits the bill with over a 1,000 yd. season. I am sure the coaches have a comfort level with available talent on board now. Running back is one area you cannot become thin in if you are going to rush for 50% of the offensive snaps.

Insiders has him as a 4 star & looking at Colorado St., Iowa St., Purdue, and Wash. St.

Rivals has him as a 3 star & looking at Wyoming, Troy State, Utah State, Kentucky, Purdue, and Texas A&M.

Funny how these two services can be so different. Makes you want to sell the farm for their predictions.

By the way, you can NEVER have too much RB talent. We have shown this in the past(ie. Thomas, Hill, McElroy).

Injuries can take their toll.. (remember Eric bernard ? )...

at running back we don't have as many numbers or as much talent as just about every team we play. Franchione has always had a stable of rb's wherever he's been.

CL is great but small. Farmer is a workhorse with lots of power , but is not as big as the hardnosed way he runs and doesn't see holes develop at all.Derrick Brown should be good but a RS fish, and John Kelly might not be with the team.

There are rumors to be accounted for in this equation.

According to Rivals he has committed to Wyoming.

what i read said he was set to sign with Wyoming and Fran called him and told him to hold off. Fran was going to see if he could find a ship for him. should hear something early in the week. don't know if it's true, just saw it floating around.

btw, cade, this guy isn't coming in to be a feature back. he's coming to add depth and a change of pace. when you look at it, i like Farmer, but we really don't have quality depth.

Hmmm...makes you wonder who will be back next year!
