Recruits take notice. And remember Sumlin wouldn't lie to salvage Jefferson. Core values.

It says a lot. Chollie lied to a recruits face who couldn't leave even if he wanted to because he'd already signed and KDS wouldn't lie to the top player in the state in order to secure his commitment.

Speaks volumes.

Need some Malik quotes here, the ones about his decision being a matter of "trust" with the coaches.

This one:

quote:
he finalized his decision Thursday night after prayer and meditation. He said the decision came down to one word.

"Trust," Jefferson said. "Trust, off the bat."

"Trust" also was a word McNeal used in his decision.

Not that I would trust those two clowns, either.

Great find Heb. So ironic that Malik's family manipulated him into believing Charlie's lies and questioning Sumlin's honesty. Now they've got him stuck in a program with no values, terrible fans, the worst conference, poor TV coverage, all in the most segregated city in Texas. Karma.

So happy that Daylon Mack and Kyler Murray, the two best players in state of Texas, did not buy in Malik and Chollie's lies and dishonesty. Chollie was losing around 15 commitments so fast that he had to lie to keep the recruits from jumping ship prior signing day.

So, sip troll farmer, what is so "moronic" about Rab's post??? There's truth in his statement, Malik basically called out Sumlin for not being honest in withholding info about the DC hire, and yet here he is now... Stuck in a program where hypocrites run the show. I hope that Malik finds success at tu, but I won't have sympathy for him if things continue to go south (which is likely going to be the case)

Funny thing is FTF has nothing but name-calling. Facts are facts. From the LHN to One True Champion to Core Values, the Horns have become an embarrassment to Texas. Malik's family manipulated him into that Clown Show so now he's gotta live with it.

Lying wasn't our choice of words. It was Lampkins. People are just retweeting his tweets.

For FTF....lying and honesty are antonyms. Core value nmero uno.

these are values

most of these are rules or laws:

Laws or Common Sense. I would expect to see this posted in a Department of Corrections, not a D1 Athletic facility. Actually, marketing that as some sort of unique 'Core Values' should actually embarrass the Horn faithful.

To include on this: it says a lot when there are two recruits suing Charlie strong and another one for tu for pulling a schollie from a kid who tore his acl. Strong's Core values.

Spartacus - No kidding.

It's like a laundry list of the most important crimes to avoid. "Treating women with" RESPECT being code for
NO Rape/Assault

So, we have core values consisting of:

No Sex Crimes
No Gun Crimes
No Drug Crimes
No Theft Crimes

I guess "Honesty" is the catch all in case they left out any other crimes, but I guess they figured these were the most likely to snare their players. Begs lots of questions! Are they considering alcohol a "drug?" If not, that opens up a huge candyland of opportunity.

Sip player (to Chollie): I HONESTLY and in good faith got s***faced and HONESTLY and in good faith beat the crap out of a deserving student at a bar. I'm good, right?

Laughable.

The chobbit's core values are nothing but a scam and a recruiting tool. The man has been sued numerous times, accused of being a liar by recruits, recruited some "bad" seeds during his time at Louisville, etc ...

However, that doesn't fit the narrative. This isn't about facts - it is about recruiting, and an angle. Strong had to be painted as some kind of saint to appease the sip masses that didn't want him hired in the first place. Mack was painted as a devil worshipper who recruited nothing but bad seeds, and he is to blame for all of the chobbit's problems.

The truth is simple. Charlie is an average coach, with less than premium talent, in a second rate league. He isn't as good of a coach as some of the other BDF coaches, such as Briles and Patterson - who's teams have run circles around the sips on the field, and whom the sips would have been smart to pursue. He's nothing special. He was also about the 10th choice in their coaching search after all the premium names turned them down.

And he lies with the best of them... ask any of the fans at his previous stops. But he is now the "Burnt Orange God", and above questioning. Until they fire his average ass in the next couple of years and bring in the new Savior.

Daje Johnson is still on your team. Charlie got Michael Dyer to come on his louisville team after he had been kicked out of Auburn AND Arkansas State.
Our players were kicked off the team just like they should have been.
Charlie had those core values in place and it still didn't stop your two players from raping two girls last summer.

Having a fancy sign that lists core values doesn't mean the players in your program will automatically adhere to them; case in point: A&M has had fewer players dismissed than Texas even though Texas had a sign.

Nor is the lack of a fancy sign indicative of a team that doesn't have or adhere to a set of core values or a code of conduct; case in point: A&M did, in fact, kick players off of the team for such reasons even though they didn't have a sign.

Fewer players "dismissed." The usual spin. Your guys were arrested before they were dismissed.

I guess you see the meaningless "fancy sign" at UT the same way you regard the balleyhooed Aggie Code of Honor?

@ RV - Think how much better a coach you would have if he was bright enough to know the difference between a rule and a value. Seriously, that's elementary education that CS is lacking. What an idiot.

Secondly, what if he actually followed them? Showing favoritism, not adhering to his own rules, socializing with people that are rapists - the Cos. I really don't know how any tu alumn can't be completely embarrassed with him as coach. Awful
