I woke up at 3 am on Dec 24th coughing up a storm. Thought I'd better test since we had family coming over at 8AM. I tested with an at home Binax test kit.....we normally have the kids (and grandkids) over on Christmas Eve so that they can go to their respective families house on Christmas Day to open gifts. (Our kids are 34, 32 and 30, so we're flexible). It was positive. I as devastated, mostly because Christmas is our family's favorite holiday. Been self isolating since then, binge watching The Sopranos and finally, tonight (Dec 27th) feeling better enough to get on Texags to post about it. No loss of taste or smell (yet). Vaccinated with the JNJ vaccine twice, so I'm sure that had something to do with the fact that it wasn't as bad as I thought it could be. Feeling a LOT better tonight...looking forward to seeing an SEC team win a natty, the Cowboys making a deep run in the playoffs, (vs. the Chiefs in the Super Bowl?), and opening presents with our grandkids on January 8th. Hope your New Year is the best ever.

I was hit with it Christmas Eve (evening). Same for the wife. Has felt like a 3-day flu. Worst part is my inability to sleep.

Anyway, starting to feel better tonight. Think it may be in the rear view.

Also tested positive Christmas Eve. I felt hungover becauseā€¦I was hungover. Only tested b/c a family member with a major illness was coming over. Shocked to get a positive. Slept most of the day on Christmas Eve and Christmas. Headache, too, but nothing other than that. Have felt fine for two days now.

I've got cabin fever and I'm sad that I missed much of Christmas and a lot of plans had to be changed, but no complaints otherwise.

Tested positive on Christmas Day.

Age60 and Moderna vaccinated

I had a small cold so I conducted a test on Dec 23 as well as my wife and two grown kids. We all tested negative. As we were bringing my MIL over on the 24th.

Then on Christmas Day my throat started hurting slightly and then tested Positive.

Three days of a headache, minor body aches and cold sweats at night and a slight cough. Took the Dr Coates regime of supplements and started my isolation. Everyone else continues to test negative including my MIL whom we were most concerned about.

Sitting on the back patio watching football and feel pretty good. No symptoms today. Just hopes it remains good. At least two more days of quarantine I reckon.

My father-in-law has apparently had it since about Christmas Day with a cough. Thought the cough was a remnant of a sinus infection he had recently. We hung around him all day Sunday. Monday he got a Covid test and came back positive.

Since then my 6 months pregnant wife and brother in law have both started coughing as well but no other symptoms. My mother in law and I still don't have any symptoms.

In-Laws were vaxxed with J&J and bro-in-law with Moderna in the Spring (no boosters), and my wife and I had just been fully vaxxed with Moderna about a month ago.

Feeling better today, thanks everyone. Christmas Eve and Christmas day were the worse, but I am still testing positive. I wonder how long this hangs on...hope everyone has had some time off to enjoy family and friends.
