At home test.

How much vitamin D should she take tonight? The regular vitamin form ok?

34/vaccinated 6 weeks ago/110 lbs.

Our herd is about to have it seems like.

From Reveille:

Quote:

Here is a repost of the supplements we have discussed to have potential benefits.

Quercetin from 250mg up to 1g twice per day Remember this is a Zinc ionophore.

Vitamin D3 Take this for sure if you are deficient and I now recommend taking it either daily or weekly as long as your values are not too high. Remember too much vitamin D can cause issues. However, if you are diagnosed with Covid-19 take 50,000IU immediately as this appears to have significant benefits.

Sleep greater than 8 hours per night

CoQ10 100-300mg per day: a potent antioxidant that potentially helps balance oxidative stress, increase vasodilation, prevent clot formation and decrease vasoconstriction.

Zinc any amount is probably good but take what you can tolerate without making you feel bad up to 40mg. You do not want to be Zinc deficient as it is how many drugs like HCQ work.

Melatonin 0.1mg to 10mg at night. Take what you can tolerate and what helps you sleep without making you feel drugged or tired in the morning. If you are diabetic watch your sugars.

N-acetylcysteine (NAC) - 600mg twice per day shown to decrease severity of influenza, improve lung functions in COPD, antioxidant properties, potentially helps prevent clotting and with mental disorders. Caution for asthmatics as there is potential for bronchospasm but this is rare.

Vitamin C 250mg to 500mg twice per day. Effects debatable in oral form but IV did help in China. But is proven to strengthen immune system

Green Tea either drink some or 1 pill per day alternate zinc ionophore if you don't have or don't take

Quercetin

Famotidine 10-20mg twice per day potentially inhibits viral replication and helps with heartburn

Baby Aspirin 81mg aspirin to thin blood and help prevent clots but only after discussing with your physician to make sure you have no contraindications to its use.

This doc has been treating in Austin. I'm pretty sure he takes insurance but if he doesn't, sometimes it is better to cash pay.

Are her symptoms mild?

He is a direct primary care doc (DPC). They don't take insurance but I really like their business model and the care they can provide.

How's it going? How's she doing?

She's doing well, mild cold. No fever, just tired, feeling "off" and congestion.

It's bizarre to me she's tested positive but myself, the baby, our 10 and 7 year olds, all tested negative. Her and the baby have the least amount of exposure. I don't know how she could have gotten this not from me or the kids.

Now, these are at home test, she's about to go get better test for her.

2 different brands of at home she tested positive.
But she just got vaccinated 6 weeks ago. Her vaccine is fresh and should be loaded right now.

I will try the dr in Austin. Thanks for all the info everyone.

Should I vitamin d bomb the kids?

Definitely do a few tests as you are planning on doing.

My co-worker got a rapid negative; PCR positive and then did 2 more PCRs...both negative.

They are not fail proof.

As far kids, prob check with doctor before bombing them Vitamins beyond a normal kids vitamin. If your kids are relatively healthy, based on data, they should get through it fine without much need for help other than maybe some symptom relief (motrin, etc).

Glad she seems fine. She seems to be at a fine weight(not obese) and you didn't mention any comorbidities.

I'm guessing she'll be fine, but do you have one of those finger oxygen monitor things to check her O2 levels?

She's got a oxy finger thing. She's complaining of a headache and feeling tired. But it doesn't seem bad.

We have an owlet monitor on our little buddy. I'm basically just sitting outside watching his numbers because what else can I do.

He seems to be doing great. Smiling and happy when awake.

What you can do is calm down. Based on what you've said your wife is not at risk of complications and neither is your son.

Don't sit around dwelling over "the pandemic" hitting your family. Y'all are fine.

For your own mental health… relax. Give them some ice cream and put on a movie.

Update: Wife baby and 10 year old have tested positive and all seem ok now. Seemed to be a very mild case.

I haven't tested positive but I feel all th symptoms and can't smell or taste 100% so I'm assuming I now have it.

I have ivermectin. How to I dose this, and for how many days. 220 pounds, 40, male.

I'll help since others won't.

If you have the injectable, it's 1ml per 100 lbs.

The baby, 10 year old and wife seem to be over it. The kids literally had a mild cough for like 2 days. That's it.

The wife felt rundown for about 5. Never had a fever. Headache was her chief complaint.

The 7 year old and I have bad coughs and sound terrible. We both keep testing negative though. I can barely smell and taste. But I can still smell and taste.

This is great news overall. Hopefully it continues like a mild or even bad cold. Thanks for the update. Hang in there and keep us posted.
