CDC changed its advice from a 14-day waiting period to ZERO days, between receiving a flu shot and taking the Pfizer booster. I am not interested in the politics. The decision has been made to get the COVID-19 booster shot.

What is the safest lag time? Is there any science regarding this issue?

At the same time or whenever. There is no correlation or known risk to the timing between the two vaccines.

So, that should hold true for the Moderna booster, too (when/if authorized)?

Yes. News coming out today that they are likely going to use 1/2 dose for the Moderna booster (100mcg vs 50mcg)

I did not realize this...my parents were told by their doctors to avoid certain shots after getting their COVID 19 shots....now that is no longer the case??? What changed??? The shots did not...?

They gathered data on people getting the shots at different intervals and found no change in side effects or response to vaccine.

Yah know, how medical science usually works when done properly!

I just looked on CVS.com for my 82yo mom's booster. When scheduling, they have the option to add a flu shot at the same time.

Do you want to add a flu shot to this appointment?

The CDC has determined it's safe to receive a flu shot with a COVID-19 vaccine
