The dosage is in a post on the CV forum. You can search ivermectin. It is based on the patient's weight, but I can't recall how much of the injectable dose to give.

The paste you get at tractor supply has the weight marked on it. I may have used the equine ivermectin paste. On or around December 22nd.

Staff are you really going to allow this board to promote off label applications of a medicine designed for livestock on a 90year old?

This board amazes me.

How do you know ivermectin isn't given to humans?

I was going to tell you a popular doctor that post updates on this forum prescribes it. But I don't want you to have to go crying to the staff again.

A doctor prescribed it and you got it from a pharmacy from a supply designed for human consumption. I hope your doctor isn't running to the feed store.

Inactive ingredients and other aspects of livestock meds are not vetted for human consumption.

Knowing the QA differences of products for Ag vs human consumption and the various cost saving measures we use in production I would hope someone would go to the doctor to get meds for their 90 year old relative.

Op was edited, but just in case he/she said what I think they may have said, please don't inject anything into a human that wasn't manufactured for 1) human use, and 2) injection.

The OP stated that the injectable was going to be mixed in a drink and consumed.

There have been quite a few pharmaceuticals that have been cross marketed for both human and animal use. And in most cases the product is the exact same in a different package and different label. The product would be safe to use in either. What's the difference? The liability.

I have searched but haven't really found a definite answer on injectable dosage taken orally.
Anyone that can point me in that direction?

I think the answer is not to take the injectable orally.

There are plenty of docs who will prescribe it. When I had Covid I was able to take my first dose within hours of getting my positive test.

I took Ivermectin once a month and still got COVID. I had a mild case, who knows if that helped or not. I know for me it didn't prevent it.

Everything I have seen for prophylactic dosing is 1x/ week. Not once a month.
