Watching 60 minutes tonight and they profiled a company in San Diego working toward a vaccine. They're basing their research on the virus' genetic sequence as provided by the PRC. My first thought was that surely this has been verified by western research. I'd hate to think we base any potential breakthroughs on data provided by the CCP and the PRC.

I doubt they are taking the Chinese medical establishments word for it.

I can just see it now .....

FDA - please provide evidence that your treatment will be effective

US drug company - Well . . .the Chinese told us. We thought that was good enough.

Plenty of other countries have sequenced the virus' genetics.

A doctor in Washington did it which is how they figured out who brought it to the Seattle area.
