How long do you want to ignore this user?

I'm being asked by a lot of people here in my part of Florida what is needed in Texas since many know I went to Texas A&M. A notice from our Emergency Management Agency recommended that people not send items but instead send cash. He listed this group as a charity National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster.

That group appears to be a coalition of groups that respond to disasters and lists some I know and some I don't.

Is there another group I need to recommend? I just want an answer to give people here something they can do to help.

Thanks.

I run everything I consider through Charity Navigator. Here is their list. I plan to give to Samaritan's Purse which is Franklin Graham. I've donated to them in the past for Haiti. Heard him yesterday on TV. They already have people in place and help with clean up, wet carpet, etc. I figure that help goes straight to the people direct
